Privacy Notice

Last updated: October 7, 2026

This notice explains how The Faith Company ("we", "us") handles personal data when you use Preachr. The Faith Company is the data controller for personal data processed through the Service.

1. Data we collect and why

  • Account data (name, email, login credentials, church/role preferences, country and timezone) — to create and run your account (contract).
  • Content you create (sermons, notes, reflections, pastoral context, uploaded images and audio for transcription) — to provide the Service and its personalized features (contract).
  • Usage data (features used, generation counts, device and browser details, IP address) — for security, fraud prevention, plan limits and product improvement (legitimate interests).
  • Support messages and feedback — to help you and improve Preachr (legitimate interests).
  • Product updates — to email you about important changes, and marketing only where you have consented (consent, which you can withdraw).

Pastoral care notes and reflections can be sensitive. We use them only to tailor your own outputs; we never sell them or use them for advertising. Please avoid entering identifiable details about congregants unless necessary.

2. Who we share data with

  • Service providers — cloud hosting and database, AI model providers that process prompts to generate outputs, Bible text providers, and analytics.
  • Paddle — our Merchant of Record, for sales, subscription management, payments, tax compliance and invoicing.
  • Professional advisers — legal and accounting, where needed.
  • Authorities — where required by law.

We do not sell your personal data.

3. International transfers

Our providers may process data outside your country, including outside the UK/EEA. Where required, we rely on safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses or adequacy decisions.

4. Retention

We keep account data and content while your account is active. When you delete your account, or data is no longer needed, we delete or anonymise it within a reasonable period, unless we must retain it to meet legal obligations.

5. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to processing of your data, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time. UK/EEA residents may complain to their local supervisory authority. Contact us at support@preachr.church; we respond within one month.

6. Security

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures, including encryption in transit, access controls and per-account data isolation.

7. Cookies and local storage

We use essential cookies and browser storage to keep you signed in, save drafts and run the app offline. We use privacy-friendly analytics to understand aggregate usage. You can clear or block cookies in your browser settings, though some features may stop working.
